What days is the US stock market open?

NYSE and NASDAQ are open Monday through Friday, excluding 10 federal holidays per year. Regular session: 9:30 AM–4:00 PM ET. Extended hours: pre-market 4:00–9:30 AM ET, after-hours 4:00–8:00 PM ET.

When do futures markets open and close each week?

CME equity futures (ES, NQ, YM, RTY) open Sunday at 5:00 PM CT (6:00 PM ET) and trade until Friday at 4:00 PM CT (5:00 PM ET), with a one-hour daily halt at 4:00–5:00 PM CT Monday through Thursday. Closed on the same federal holidays as equities.

What is an early close day?

A day when NYSE and NASDAQ end regular trading at 1:00 PM ET instead of 4:00 PM. After-hours does not occur. There are typically 3 per year: July 3rd, the Friday after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve when it falls on a weekday. See all early close dates.

Is the stock market open on weekends?

No. NYSE and NASDAQ are closed Saturday and Sunday. CME equity futures are also closed from Friday 4:00 PM CT (5:00 PM ET) through Sunday 5:00 PM CT (6:00 PM ET).
